The first half of 2024 has been a dynamic period for Treasure Children\'s Charity, marked by a series of impactful outreach events that reached vulnerable communities across Uganda. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to ensure that underprivileged children and families receive the support they need to thrive. Empowering Education:
In September 2024, we visited Lubiri Secondary School to distribute essential scholastic materials. This initiative provided students with much-needed resources such as notebooks, pens, and textbooks, ensuring that financial barriers did not stand in the way of their academic pursuits. The enthusiasm of the students and the gratitude of the community reaffirmed our commitment to fostering educational opportunities for every child.
Promoting Menstrual Health:
On 10 October 2024, our team returned to Lubiri Secondary School for a health-focused outreach event, where we distributed sanitary pads to female students. This event aimed to promote menstrual hygiene and empower young girls to manage their periods with dignity, reducing absenteeism and reinforcing the importance of health education.
Community Engagement and Awareness:
Beyond material support, our outreach events also focused on health education and community engagement. We hosted several interactive sessions that brought together local healthcare professionals and community members.
