Honoring Partnership and Support: Dr. JSM Recognized by Treasure Children’s Charity

Treasure Children’s Charity in Nansana, Uganda, continues to shine as a youth-led community initiative transforming the lives of vulnerable children. Recently, the organization celebrated a meaningful milestone—receiving continued support and recognition from Dr. JSM, an academic leader who first learned about the charity through undergraduate Political Science student Amon Byarugaba of Makerere University.

Dr. JSM previously highlighted her inspiring engagement with Amon, who shared the mission of Treasure Children's Charity during a series of conversations following her lecture “America@250: Opportunity for Civic Renewal in the US.”

After learning more about the charity’s work, Dr. JSM offered personal contributions of school supplies and toiletries for the children served by the organization. Her commitment to supporting community-based initiatives has since continued to grow.

This month, Treasure Children’s Charity proudly presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. JSM in recognition of her dedication to the mission. The certificate symbolizes not only gratitude but also the strengthening of a partnership centered on empowering children, promoting education, and supporting struggling families in Nansana Municipality.

Dr. JSM expressed her appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed her desire to deepen this collaboration. She noted that she is “looking forward to finding additional ways to support the mission and help the children in need in Nansana.”
